A SPOOKY restaurant in the Capital has called in a medium so diners can be left in peace.
Staff
at the Grain Store restaurant on Victoria Street have been plagued by
strange noises late at night and have had complaints from customers
about ghostly experiences in the dining room.
Kitchen pans were moved about and visitors claimed a spirit was living in the toilet.
Restaurateur Paul McPhail decided to take the unusual step of
consulting a psychic.Kimba Syng was called in to check out the spooky
goings-on and claimed
there were three ghosts living in the 200-year-old building. "We
had one waitress who couldn?t be there on her own because she could
feel there was someone else in the building," said Mr McPhail. "We also
had a customer who was sitting having dinner with her husband. When he
left the table to go to the toilet, she felt something pulling her
towards the wall." Ms Syng, 42, spoke to two men and a woman - who she
says all died more than 100 years ago. "There
was one man who I don?t think was a very nice person, another who was
very friendly and a woman who lives in the bathrooms and just wants to
keep the toilets clean," she said.
"I don?t think any of them
mean any harm. I asked them to stay away when the restaurant is open so
as not to scare the customers."
